Snow began falling between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. for most of the state, Tuesday morning. Total accumulation is expected to be between 2 and 4 inches, with the snow tapering off in time for the evening commute. Highs today will be near 30.

Tuesday night will be partly cloudy and chilly, with lows between 17 and 24. But starting tomorrow a warming trend will start moving in, with temperatures near 40 on Wednesday, 45 on Thursday and 50 on Friday.

With temperatures rising there’s no more snow in the immediate forecast, but mixed precipitation is expected Wednesday night and some rain on Friday. Temperatures stick in the 40s for the weekend before getting back down into the 30s by Monday.
