GLASTONBURY — Police this week arrested four teens as part of an investigation into a planned drug sale by an alleged Portland supplier.

The accused supplier, earlier this month, is believed to be responsible for supplying large amounts of marijuana to Glastonbury High School students, police said Thursday.

Two 16-year-olds and two 17-year-olds were arrested arrested Wednesday morning, police said. The 16-year-olds were charged with conspiring to possess more than 4 ounces of marijuana, and the 17-year-olds were charged with conspiring to possess less than 4 ounces of marijuana, they said.

The teens, considered juveniles under the law, were given summonses to appear in Hartford juvenile court.

On Feb. 4, 2014, the Glastonbury Police Youth Unit received information about a drug transaction involving several Glastonbury juveniles. On Feb. 11, police searched the home of the teens’ alleged supplier, Georgios Sirigos, 20, of East Main Street in Portland and arrested him, police said.

Officers seized more than a pound of marijuana and found evidence of a marijuana trafficking operation in his home.

“This male is believed to be responsible for supplying large amounts of marijuana to Glastonbury High School students,” police said in a news release Thursday.
