Shore Line East Train Derails In New Haven

NEW HAVEN — A Shore Line East train has derailed in New Haven about 5 p.m.

Fourteen people were aboard the westbound train, which was headed into New Haven. No injuries were reported, said Kevin Nursick, a state Department of Transportation spokesman.

The derailment was described as minor.

Shore Line East runs commuter trains between New Haven and New London.
