Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra is set to review 2013 and lay out his vision for 2014 in his fourth annual “state of the city” address.

Segarra’s remarks will begin at 5 p.m. in the city council chambers in the second floor of city hall. The mayor’s office said the public is invited to attend and there will be overflow seating in the city hall atrium if needed. Translators will also be on hand to help Spanish-speaking residents understand the mayor’s message.

In his address last year Segarra focused on a number of topics, chiefly the city’s budget situation. The city received good news on that front recently, learning that Standard & Poor’s had upgraded the city’s bond rating to AA-, signaling that Hartford has a more stable outlook and strong capacity to meet financial commitments.

Be sure to tune in to the FOX CT News at 5 and News at 10 and 11 for a recap of the mayor’s speech.
