Hartford Bomb Squad Called To Farmington And Laurel

HARTFORD — Police are evacuating the area around 330 Laurel St., just north of Farmington Avenue, after a suspicious item was spotted.

The bomb squad has been called to the scene to examine the object.

Deputy Police Chief Brian Foley said an officer saw the object and was concerned enough by its appearance to call out the bomb squad and begin evacuating the area.

CT Transit has been notified because Farmington Avenue is blocked.
