SHELTON — The 15-year-old Shelton boy shot and seriously wounded on Saturday has died, Shelton police said Thursday.
Kristjan Ndoj suffered gunshot wounds to the head and leg Saturday night on Agawam Trail and was taken to Bridgeport Hospital.
Police continue to investigate the shooting and ask that anyone with information call 203-924-1544. Callers can remain anonymous, police said.
When police responded Saturday night, they found Ndoj lying in a driveway outside an Agawam Trail residence, suffering from a gunshot wound. He did not live at the home, police said. Police received a 911 call at 8:45 p.m. reporting the shooting.
In a statement issued through their attorney Thursday afternoon, Ndoj’s family expressed their gratitude to the doctors and staff at Bridgeport Hospital “for their heroic efforts in trying to save Kristjan’s life.”
The family also thanked police and said they are confident that those responsible will be caught.
