The first weekend of spring will get off to a mild start and a cold finish. Saturday will start off mostly cloudy with the chance for a passing shower through midday.  Then some clearing will take place in the mid-late afternoon with temperatures soaring into the 50s.  Sunday will be about 15 to 20 degrees colder with partly to mostly sunny skies. Mid winter cold arrives Monday.

A monster coastal storm will be the focus of our attention Tuesday and Wednesday.  Is it a hit or a miss? The exact track is uncertain. After looking at the latest data, it seems a direct hit is becoming less likely.  But even a glancing blow could bring accumulating snow to Connecticut.  For now, there’s nothing to be worried about. A lot can change when you’re talking about a forecast four to five days out. Just keep an eye on the forecast over the weekend as we get a better handle on things.
