Fire At Vacant Bridgeport Building

BRIDGEPORT — Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at a vacant building in the area of Connecticut and Union avenues early Monday.

The three-story building had heavy fire showing when firefighters arrived shortly before 5 a.m.

Firefighters said the fire was out about an hour later and no injuries were reported.

The building was heavily damaged and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
