BOLTON — A small school bus carrying two students collided with a car at Routes 85, 44 and 6 about 7:30 a.m. Monday.

Amanda Nadeau, 16, suffered what fire officials described as a very minor injury. Her father asked that she be taken to Manchester Memorial Hospital to be evaluated, Bolton Fire Chief Bruce Dixon said.

The bus driver, Michael Gagne, 49, of Vernon and another passenger, Zachary Keefe, 16, of Vernon were not injured.

State police said a preliminary investigation indicates that Kimberly Lechasseur, 32, of Manchester ran a red light and struck the bus.

The students were from Vernon and were headed to Manchester Community College.

Traffic was tied up for about 90 minutes while state police investigated and wreckers removed the damaged vehicles.
