FARMINGTON — Investigators are searching for an armed robber who stole hundreds of dollars from the Scott’s Town Line Mobil late Sunday, police said.
A store clerk told police the robber entered the convenience store, located at 435 Main St., around 10 p.m. and pointed a black handgun at him, demanding money. The clerk handed the suspect $567 cash from the register.
The robber fled on foot, heading south on Route 10 toward Plainville. A police dog picked up a track on Route 10 south, but lost the track near Pequabuck Lane.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern male with brown skin, black eye brows and brown eyes. He was 6-feet 2-inches. He wore a long-sleeved, black shirt, black gloves and a grey shirt wrapped around his face.
