Car Stolen From Valet Attendants Crashes Into Building In Hartford

HARTFORD — A car stolen from the valet parking attendants at Dish Bar & Grill on Main Street in downtown Hartford Friday evening was later spotted driving in Hartford’s north end, police said.

Patrol officers tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver did not stop.

The car then crashed into a building at 222 Barbour St. and ruptured a natural a gas line.

The two males in the car ran, but were quickly captured by Hartford police, who only identified the two as an adult and a 16-year-old. Police said they determined that the juvenile was picked up after the car was taken.

The valet attendants tried to stop the thieves, who took the car shortly after 6 p.m., police said.
