An Eastern Connecticut State University professor issued an apology for the harsh words he used in class about republicans.

Professor Brent Terry was recorded during a creative writing class, and that recording is now posted on The recording, being called a rant on republicans, included a statement that “Racist, misogynist, money-grubbing people have so much power over the rest of us.”

Jayson Veley, 20, was the student who recorded the whole thing on his iPhone.

“The main statement that he said that really, really frustrated me and angered me was when he said that if republicans take the senate in November, colleges will start closing down,” Veley said.  “There’s no other way to look at that statement other than to say, hey, this guy is trying to create fear about the republican party.”

The rant even caused a fuss in the State Capitol, where House Minority Leader, Larry Cafero, called Terry’s statements offensive and out-of-place.
