The mission in Manhattan is sightseeing but seeing the sights now has more speed.

We’re heading out on the Hudson aboard the same nimble crafts used by the Navy SEALs.

Bjoern Kils, a former TV cameraman turned boat captain, began New York Media Boat Adventure Sightseeing Tours three years ago.“It gets quite adventurous out there, Kils said.

“The boat is extremely seaworthy, it’s an ex-military (boat) rated for 50 foot seas and 70 knots of wind.”

Visitors are garbed in windproof gear and see the sights speeding along the river.

The Statue of Liberty, the Freedom Tower, and the Brooklyn Bridge are just a few of the highlights.

Kils added, “there’s nothing like this in New York, this is custom sightseeing.”

The tours are offered every day and take about 90 minutes.  The boat seats six and it costs $80 per person.
