NEW BRITAIN — An East Hartford woman faces sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor and other charges, police said.
Elisa Ortega, 43, of 30 Chester St., was charged by warrant Tuesday with three counts of employing a minor in an obscene performance, three counts of first-degree sexual assault, nine counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, 12 counts of risk of injury to a minor by sexual contact, three counts of risk of impairing the morals of a child, and several conspiracy counts.
She was held on $200,000 bail and was to be arraigned Wednesday in Superior Court in New Britain.
Police Capt. Thomas Steck said the charges are for an incident that was reported in 2010. At the time, he said, Ortega lived in New Britain.
The warrant for her arrest is sealed and he said he could not release additional details.
