It’s fair to say we’ve earned it.

Spring feels like it’s finally arrived, so why not just talk about summer?

That’s what the Connecticut Office Of Tourism was doing Monday.

The office tells us last year’s summer campaign generated $219 million and they were discussing a new twist on the “still revolutionary”campaign.

It’s called ‘Revolutionary Thoughts’ and the idea is to promote trip pairings.

“Essentially, come to the state and double your pleasure,” Randy Fiveash, the Director For The Office of Tourism said.

“They can go to the science center for something in the future but then at the same time at the same trip they can go to the Mark Twain House,” Fiveash said.

He noted that last summer’s Still Revolutionary campaign generated $219 million, and he looks for more visitor dollars as the 2014 season approaches, “the summer season is our biggest season, the biggest tourism season of the year,” he said.

Matt Fleury, the C.E.O. & President of the Connecticut Science Center said, “we hope everyone is ready to shove off the winter blues and get out here and see some great things.”

Additionally in Cromwell, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the Central Regional Tourism District held their annual “brochure swap”,  about 50 attraction owners and managers exchanged flyers in hopes of bringing in more visitors.
