MANCHESTER — What was initially reported as a shots fired incident at a home on Deer Run Trail has ended peacefully and someone is being questioned by police, a police spokesman said.
Manchester police Capt. Chris Davis said police are still on the scene, but at this point think the call was bogus. He described it as a “swatting” incident, where a hoax call is made to police that prompts a response by SWAT officers.
Lake Street School in Vernon was briefly locked down as a result of the incident, but the lock down has been lifted and the school is dismissing for the day. Vernon police are at the school to assist with the dismissal.
