If you’re a military veteran searching for a job, this can be a promising job fair for you. And not only can vets get a chance to speak with potential employers and recruiters, but résumé help will be available as well. Starting at 11 a.m., folks will be on hand to go through résumés with job seekers. Another résumé workshop begins at 1 p.m.
The fair also is outfitted with plenty of computers to prospective employees can apply to jobs online. And as an incentive for companies to hire vets, the Step Up for Vets program will pay part of an employee’s salary during the first six months of employment when it hires an unemployed veteran.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is being held at the Norwich Holiday Inn.
