NEW HAVEN – Police are investigating a shooting Monday evening that injured three on Quinnipiac Avenue.

Police said they received a call just after 10 p.m. about a gunshot victim on Quinnipiac Avenue. Officers found three victims when they arrived.

Jaquet Jacobs, 23, had a bullet graze his hand; Vincent Clark, 20, was shot in the stomach and was in critical but stable condition; and Ian Alston, 21, was shot in the thigh and wrist, police said.

Police said all the victims were taken by ambulance to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Jacobs was discharged after being treated, Office David B. Hartman said Tuesday. Alston’s condition was upgraded to stable, he said.

Police said they do not have a motive for the shooting or any suspect at this time. As of 11:15 p.m., detectives were still at the scene collecting evidence, police said.

“Detectives worked throughout the night conducting witness interviews,” Hartman said in an emailed news release. “The tasks ahead for investigators include corroborating the testimonies and examining the collected forensic evidence.”

Anyone with information is being asked to call detectives at 203-946-6304.

Triple shootingat 1378 Quinnipiac Ave- this property is owned by HANH. HANH and
Karen Dubois-Walton are well aware of the narcotics that have been sold in this
house for the last 5 years and have done nothing about it. A 14 yr old was shot
at the same address in 2009, HANH and their executive directors did nothing
about it then. The residents of Quinnipiac Ave are going to have to get
together and petition for the removal of Karen Dubois- Walton, Jimmy Miller,
and Sheila Allen-Bell and its entire executive board. Since HANH built its off
site scattered projects in our neighborhood the crime rate has risen
drastically and could be proven with crime statistics and police calls of
service. We still have three unsolved homicides (2 directly across the street
from HANH property and one down the street). All of Quinnipiac and East shore residence most come togeather the NEW HAVEN HOUSING AUTHORITY is Destroying are Neighorhood and the executive board of HANA is making a lot of $$$$$$$$ doing so!!!!
