NEW HAVEN – Police are investigating a shooting Monday evening that injured three on Quinnipiac Avenue.

Police said they received a call just after 10 p.m. about a gunshot victim on Quinnipiac Avenue. Officers found three victims when they arrived.

Jaquet Jacobs, 23, had a bullet graze his hand; Vincent Clark, 20, was shot in the stomach and was in critical but stable condition; and Ian Alston, 21, was shot in the thigh and wrist, police said.

Police said all the victims were taken by ambulance to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Jacobs was discharged after being treated, Office David B. Hartman said Tuesday. Alston’s condition was upgraded to stable, he said.

Police said they do not have a motive for the shooting or any suspect at this time. As of 11:15 p.m., detectives were still at the scene collecting evidence, police said.

“Detectives worked throughout the night conducting witness interviews,” Hartman said in an emailed news release. “The tasks ahead for investigators include corroborating the testimonies and examining the collected forensic evidence.”

Anyone with information is being asked to call detectives at 203-946-6304.
