A flash flood watch is in effect for Litchfield County until midnight. Scattered showers and downpours tonight will bring locally up to 1”-3”, while other towns could see little or no rain.

While we honor our fallen servicemen and women Memorial Day weekend, a lot of people also consider this the unofficial start of summer.  If so, this “summer” is getting off to a slow start. Saturday begins cloudy with lingering drizzle in spots. Some sun will break through. But that will only help boost instability, triggering a few scattered showers/thunderstorms. Sunday will be brighter and less unstable with a smaller chance for an afternoon storm. Monday looks the best: warm, dry and sunny!
