School leaders did not wait to take action when they heard about that bomb threat. They shut the school down and let police take over. Many students may now be behind in some class work, but they felt there was no other option – they did not want to put any lives in danger.

The panic started yesterday when police say a student found a note in the school that said a bomb was going to go off in the morning. The principal posted online that the threat was very specific – stating it would go off at 10:46 a.m.

Around 10 a.m., officers and firefighters responded and students and faculty were sent to the athletic field. Soon after, classes and after school events were canceled for the day and the school was shut down.

State police troopers were called in and they brought along specially trained canines that can detect explosives. After house of searching, nothing was found. The campus was determined to be safe around one.
