Vernon Police Say Missing Girl Has Been Located

UPDATE:  Lieutenant William Meier, spokesperson for the Vernon Police Department, said, “Amanda Nadeau has been located in Hartford. She is safe.” The alert has been cancelled.


Vernon Police issued a Silver Alert for a Vernon teen who they believe to be endangered.

Amanda Nadeau,  17, of Vernon was last seen in Hartford where police said she was attending the Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday. They said she last seen in the area of Bushnell Park.

Police said that according to text messages sent to friends, they believe she may be endangered.

Nadeau is described as a white female, 5’9″, dyed blonde/brown hair, weighing 150lbs,  and wearing black and white leggings and a blue shirt.

Police are asking that anyone seeing Nadeau contact Vernon Police ((860) 872-9126) or another local department.
