By this evening and later tonight showers and thunderstorms will cross the area as a slow moving cold front begins to enter Connecticut.  The front will stall south and east of Connecticut, taking the rain offshore by Wednesday morning, followed by partial sunshine in the afternoon.

Low pressure developing in the Plains States will begin to track along the front and cause the front to buckle north into our region with another round of rain and showers by Thursday.  The storm will quickly exit the Northeast early Friday followed by more beautiful weather with sunshine, low humidity and comfortable sleeping as high pressure from central Canada dominates our weather for the weekend.

Today: Some early sun to start your day, otherwise becoming partly to mostly cloudy during the afternoon, warm and a bit more humid, chance late afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms.  High: 79-84 inland, 74-79 along the coast.  Wind: S 5-10 mph.

Wednesday: Rain and showers ending in the morning, otherwise mostly cloudy, cooler.  High: mid-upper 70s.  Wind: N 5-10 mph.

Thursday: Periods of rain, chance for a thunderstorm. High: 70s.

Friday: Partly to mostly sunny, dry warm and pleasant.  Highs in the 70s and 80s, lows in the 50s.
