BRISTOL – Bristol Hospital was locked down for nearly 2 hours Friday morning after a threat was called into the hospital.
According to FOX CT’s Angelica Spanos, a man threatened to shoot others and himself inside the hospital.
Hospital spokesman Chris Boyle said the threat was called in at 3:45 a.m. and the hospital was put into lockdown as a precaution.
The lockdown was lifted around 5:45 a.m., but police were still searching the grounds for anything suspicious.
Incoming patients were diverted to nearby hospitals and authorities blocked off Newell Rd. leading into Bristol Hospital.
