Fairfield Police are investigating a report that a 16 year old girl, out on a jog Thursday evening, was pulled into some woods by a white male and told to cut herself with a razor blade.

Police received a call from the girl’s mother at approximately 8:30 p.m. Thursday night. The mother reported not hearing from her daughter for two hours and then received a text saying, “I’m scared, mom. I love you.” The girl then communicated to her mother that an unidentified white male, dressed in black, pulled her into some woods on the Fairfield University campus before allegedly asking her to cut herself.

Fairfield Police, in collaboration with Fairfield University police, located the teen about 100 yards from a wooded area near a lacrosse field on campus. And, while authorities say the girl did have superficial cuts covering her forehead, they noted that campus surveillance video showed only the girl walking into the woods, with no evidence of anyone else on the video.

The teen refused treatment on the scene.

The girl and her family live close to campus and Fairfield police say they have no history with the family.
