High School Quarter Final Baseball Action Have Masuk And Simsbury Move On In The Tournament

First up LL quarters in Simsbury as the number four seeded Trojans.
Play host to the number five seed Greyhounds of Naugatuck.
Bottom of the second John LaVigne with the grounder over second base. That sends Jordan Whaley running from second the throw is in time at the plate but its bobbled and Trojans take a 1-0 lead.
But the lead would not last. Top of the third Spencer Dreher sends a blast to deep center field. Nobody is catching that  but the shrubbery.
That ties the score one to one.
Then in the bottom of the inning. Frank Gregoire goes opposite field deep against the fence. That puts John Falkner on his horse from second base. He crosses home to put Simsbury back out in front 2-1 and that was your final. As the Trojans move on to face Amity in the semis.

Next we head to Ceppa Field in Meriden where the Maloney Spartans.
Face the Panthers of Masuk in quarter final action. And its the Panthers on the board first. John Orzechowski with the hard hit grounder gets past a diving second baseman. Matt Romananiello hustles home and Masuk leads one nothing in the top of the second.
Then in the bottom of the third Maloney with runners at first and second. Kyle Pelcher lays the bunt down the first base line. The throw to third goes wide that brings Kyle Hartenstein home to tie the game 1-1.
Now top of the sixth Malik Cummings with a solid shot in to center field. That scores a run to put Masuk up 5-1 and they go on to win 5-3 to advance to face Jonathon Law in the semis.
