The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Miami Heat 104-87 Sunday night in Game 5 to win their fifth NBA championship.
The Spurs dominated the series, with each of their four wins by at least 15 points.
The victory snaps the Heat’s two-year championship run.
Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard was named the NBA finals MVP. Leonard had 22 points and 10 rebounds Sunday before fouling out.
Miami forward LeBron James had 17 of his 31 points in the first quarter as the Heat took an early lead. He also had 10 rebounds.
