Monday is a busy day for Aaron Hernandez and his legal team. The former NFL star has two hearings for two separate cases in a Fall River, Mass. courtroom later today.

Lawyers for Hernandez are expected to ask charges be dismissed against Hernandez in the Odin Lloyd murder case. That likely won’t happen.

It’s been a year since police say Odin Lloyd was found shot to death in Massachusetts, and lawyers for Hernandez say the state police do not have enough evidence to back up those claims. That’s what they’re expected to explain in court today. They argue that Hernandez was only in the car with Lloyd and two other men the night of the murder. But it is highly unlikely the murder charge will be tossed, and very rare a judge would approve that in these situations.

Also happening today, Hernandez is expected to arraigned on an assault and battery charges stemming from a fight that happened in February in jail. Police say he punched a 25-year-old man in a hallway. The two were housed in the same unit and police said they did not get alone.

So, the odds of getting out of the Lloyd murder charges are slim to none, but from the motion, we may get more information from the prosecution about how it will go ahead with shedding more light on its case.
