Bond is set at $1.5 million for a Hartford man accused of setting up a deadly robbery via Craigslist.

HPD arrested Rashad Moon, 22, Tuesday, more than a year after detectives said he shot and killed Felix DeJesus, 40, on Allendale Road.

Police said Moon used a friend’s cells phone to text DeJesus to arrange a meet to buy two T-Mobile tablets from him.

When DeJesus arrived from Cromwell, Moon is accused of shooting him in the head while he was still in his car, and then stealing one of the tablets.

Moon’s attorney said it’s unlikely Moon’s family can afford to bond him out, but his mother has faith that if the case has to play out in court, her son will be cleared.

“She indicated to me that this is not right what happened, and she feels strongly,” Carmine Giuliano, Moon’s Attorney, said.

In the arrest warrant, Moon claimed a friend, Marvin Mathis, was the real killer.

A doctor diagnosed Mathis with metal illness, including retardation.

Detectives believe Moon took advantage of Mathis’ condition to throw him under the bus.
