WEST HARTFORD — A Hartford man faces indecent exposure charges after police say he exposed himself to people on Farmington Avenue Tuesday.

Gregory Schumm, 61, of Tremont Street, was charged with public indecency and breach of peace. West Hartford police said they received a complaint that Schumm was walking on Farmington Avenue exposing himself and touching himself.

When police caught up with Schumm, he insisted he did not expose himself, but said he may have been staring at women.

He was held on $5,000 bail and scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
