Shaun Martin Jr. just finished the third grade at St. Brigid School in West Hartford. He is a talented writer and researcher.

After he wrote a report for Black History Month on the life and rise of President Barack Obama , his parents sent it to the White House. Then a letter arrived.

President Obama sent an autograph and pictures, including photos of his dogs. He also had some words of encouragement and advice.

“Follow your dreams and you can accomplish anything if you work hard,” Shaun reads from the letter.

The White House-approved book report earned Shaun an A+. What a great way to finish the third grade with a bang.
