Gas Leak Causes Evacuations At ECSU

One fifth of the buildings on the campus of Eastern Connecticut State University were evacuated due to a gas leak Tuesday morning. reported:

Eastern Connecticut State University Vice President of Finance and Administration Jim Howard said a work crew struck a small gas line on Windham Street while working on a sidewalk and streetlight beautification project. Howard said the leak has led the university to evacuate buildings in the area of the leak, which he estimated to be about 20 percent of the buildings on campus.
