Danny Nickerson will be turning six years old this Friday and all he only has one birthday wish. He would like a box of birthday cards.
Danny was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor last October. Doctors say that less than 10 percent of children with his type of disease live longer than 18 months after diagnosis. Because of the disease, Danny had to drop out of kindergarten and he often gets lonely. What really cheers him up is receiving cards. He recognizes his name on cards and packages that are addressed to him and seeing his name on them really puts a big smile on his face. For his upcoming birthday, Danny’s mom has set up a P.O box for anyone who would like to send Danny a card.
