The Southern Connecticut Owls Mens Basketball team had a record season last year reaching the elite eight of the Division II tournament. Hamden resident Deshawn Murphy had a major impact on that out come. Setting a school record 78 three pointers Murphy is using the Greater Hartford Pro Am this summer to keep his competitive juices flowing.
