Warm and very humid Sunday with the potential for strong thunderstorms.
Very strong to severe thunderstorms possible Monday
A warm front will cross the region Sunday morning with a few showers and thunderstorms that will usher in a very humid air-mass. The combination very humid air mass and low pressure tracking into New York State could spark a second round of showers and thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening. A second low pressure system will round the base of the Great Lakes trough, move along a slow moving cold front and induce another band of strong to possibly severe thunderstorms Monday afternoon. The cold front will move out to sea Monday night, followed by much less humid conditions, plenty of sunshine and comfortable sleeping weather by the middle of the week.
