In 2012, Kevin Harvey, of Wolcott, passed away after fighting FTD for several years.  FTD is Frontotemporal dementia. FTD affects a person’s brain, their ability to make decisions, to express emotions and eventually speech and motor skills are lost.  Between 50 and 60 thousand Americans have FTD.

Kevin’s wife Ester and son Keith shared the family story with FOX CT’s Mike Magnoli in an effort to raise awareness about FTD and help others connect to resources.
