The man accused of opening fire outside Tino’s Nightclub in downtown Stamford is due in court this morning.

Dayron Wills, 22, is accused of firing into the crowd during a large brawl outside the busy downtown club. Five people sustained injuries.

The entire incident was captured on cell phone video, which police used to apprehend Wills.

Wills will be answering to several charges in Stamford Superior Court, including five counts of first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, unlawful discharge of a firearm and marijuana possession.

Prosecutors have called this a serious and strong case against Wills because he was caught on camera and confessed.

His defense attorneys, however, say Wills acted in self defense when someone swung during the fight. They argue the video does not show every angle of the incident.

Wills had recently received a gun permit for his job at ABM Security at Lifts by Fairway. That permit has since been revoked.
