ENFIELD — Chainsaws and tree-trimming crews were about the only thing anyone could hear in the neighborhood surrounding Crescent Beach Drive today.

It was all part of the cleanup after severe storms struck the northern part of the state Sunday night.

Several trees and limbs came down in the neighborhood, and some landed on houses. One family just had their home re-done when a giant tree snapped in the backyard and nearly destroyed the bedroom belonging to Dale Quesnel.

“It’s tragic,” said Quesnel. “I wasn’t home. I don’t know what I’m going to do. It’s probably a good thing, could have been injured. Just gotta move on now.”
