UPDATE: The National Weather Service reports the tornado that hit down in Revere, Massachusetts on Monday was an EF2 with 120 mph winds. The tornado was 3/8 mile wide, and the path lasted for two miles.
The city of Revere, north of Boston, was hit by a tornado Monday morning.
The National Weather Service confirmed it was a tornado, but have not as yet determined the force.
There is no word on injuries at this time.
Officials posted on their Facebook page:
“We are in the process of evaluating the aftermath of the severe storm that passed through Revere this morning. Please remain off the main roads, especially Broadway and American Legion Highway. The City is working in conjunction with State and Federal agencies to clean-up and restore services. If you are experiencing an emergency please contact 911 immediately. Stay safe! – DR”
