Meriden police are investigating a shooting that happened Monday afternoon.
Police said calls to 911 came in at 1:00 p.m. for a shooting in the area of Springdale Avenue at Botsford Street. When police arrived on the scene, they found a 29-year-old man who had been shot in the groin. The victim was transported to the hospital and is believed to be suffering from non life threatening injuries.
At the same time, police said that there were reports of a man waiving a gun in the general area of the shooting just prior to the incident. Police said they have have not yet located a suspect.
Police said the victim is not being cooperative with police.
