Police are investigating a car vs. pole accident that happened late last night on Ridge Road in Hamden.
Police said that around 11:30pm a car traveling down Ridge Road flipped over and then crashed into a pole near Davis Street.
Police said three people were transported to the hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries. The people in the accident are in their early 20s and police are investigating if speed was a factor.
Police are also investigating two other vehicles that fled the scene at the time of the accident.
The intersection of Ridge Street and Davis Road was closed for several hours because the traffic light was out.
The road is now open.
