A new survey of doctors in North Carolina found that a third of them are recommending electronic cigarettes to patients who are trying to quit smoking.

Why is this surprising?  There is still very little known about how safe or dangerous e-cigs may be,  because the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and other medical organizations have yet to approve or recommend them.

Let that give you a good idea of how deadly actual cigarettes are –  that so many doctors seem to think a nearly complete unknown and unregulated product is still less risky.

E-cigs work by turning nicotine-infused liquid into a vapor that you inhale so there’s no smoke, but there are no guarantees what else may be in the liquid, or how safe its vapor is to inhale.

It may be the case that, sometimes, a marathon video-gaming session doesn’t completely end after you turn off the console of computer.

Players have reported hearing and seeing parts of the games after they’re done playing, and now researchers looking into the reports have labelled it “Game Transfer Phenomena.”

It’s existence is still debated, but researchers have said these reports have been persistent for years.  Tetris players have reported seeing falling geometric shapes when they closed their eyes.  Other gamers said they heard sword slashes, electronic beeps, or the sound that the game Super Mario Brothers makes when a player collects a coin.

The researchers said the condition is most prevalent after gamers played all night or for days on end.

It doesn’t seem that this phenomena is harmful, if it exists at all, but the researchers also warned that extended  playing sessions can also spur illogical thoughts or feeling of distress.
