Bridgeport Hit And Run Victim Dies
UPDATE: The victim of a hit and run early Saturday has died according to police in Bridgeport.
Kyle Williams, 22, died as a result of his injuries.
Bridgeport police said:
The victim was crossing the street when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. Based on witness accounts, the vehicle accelerated through the intersection as the traffic signal changed and then struck the victim. The driver applied the brakes after the impact. The driver then fled the scene.
The vehicle was described as a Acura Integra with tinted windows.
Investigators are following leads. At this time, no arrests have been made.
An early morning hit-and-run in Bridgeport leaves a 22 year old man in critical condition.
Police identified the victim Sunday as Kyle Williams Jr.
Bridgeport Police say the crash was reported around 4:39 A.M and happened at the intersection of Park Avenue and Vine Street.
According to investigators, the victim was struck while crossing the street and suffered potentially life-threatening injuries.
Authorities describe the vehicle as a white or light colored Acura Integra with dark tinted windows and damage to the sunroof.
The crash is still under investigation.
