The local Liberian community is now reaching out to the entire Connecticut community for more donations.
A Sunday drive, organized by the Liberian Community Association Of Connecticut, collected about 20 boxes of cleaning supplies, such as bleach and anti-bacterial soap, at the Trinity Episcopal Church.
"We expected more, but then again it was a start," Henry Wilson, a Liberian-American, said.
Local Liberians have another scheduled collection set up for Sunday, August 24.
