Torrington police have arrested a man accused of assaulting his grandmother.
Police responded to 180 Greenridge road on Friday on a report of a domestic disturbance and arrested Alfred Columbia, 43, of Torrington.
Police say Columbia is being accused of breaking his grandmothers shoulder and injuring her arm.
Columbia is charged with third-degree assault on an elderly person and second-degree breach of peace. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
