Massachusetts Beach Closed After Great White Shark Spotted

This Great White Shark was sighted off the coast of Duxbury, Massachusetts, last August.

A beach in Duxbury, MA was closed for a couple hours Monday afternoon after a Massachusetts State Police helicopter spotted a Great White shark swimming near shore.

All swimmers were ordered out of the water just after 2 p.m. Monday after the spotting near Powder Point Bridge. By 2:10 p.m., everyone was out of the water and people were being advised to stay out for at least the next hour or so.
