Woman Found Drunk, Unconscious In Car With Kids: Police

A Brookfield woman is accused of driving under the influence with her three children in the back seat.

Police found Emily Wild, 45, unconscious and slumped over the steering wheel of her black BMW in the middle of Signal Hill Road, near Long Meadow Hill Road. The car was parked, but was running.

Officers woke Wild up, and she failed field sobriety tests.

Wild is charged with operating under the influence and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. Wild’s children are aged 12, 9 and 3. The Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident.

She was released on a written promise to appear in court on September 4, and was then transported to Danbury Hospital by ambulance.
