So You Think You Can Dance has been airing on FOX for the past ten seasons, featuring an impressive array of dance talent.  Contestants have ranged from contemporary, krump, hip-hop, ballet, tap, ballroom, swing, latin, jazz, bboying, and more.  While most are proficient in many dance styles other than their own, the contemporary dancers have taken home the most wins, while tap-dancing has been more of a mild diversion instead of a strong competitor.  In past years, one tap-dancer, Aaron Turner, has placed fourth, but none have gone higher.

This year, two tap-dancers have made it to the Top 4, Valerie Rockey of Indianapolis and Zack Everhart of Georgia, by not only showcasing their vibrant tapping skills, but by displaying an affinity for all requested dance styles.  No matter what happens tonight, they will have made So You Think You Can Dance history by being the first tap-dancers to make it this far.

Tonight at 8pm, they will be dancing alongside their final four counterparts, contemporary dancer Ricky Ubeda of Miami and jazz dancer Jessica Richens of California, and next week we will have our So You Think You Can Dance Season 11 winner!
