Hartford is taking another step towards having a transparent government.
The city is unveiling a new website designed to share data with the public. The website, https://data.hartford.gov, has 80 sets of data from police and on finances, as well as other municipal information.
Information that will be provided will include police incidents, calls to the fire department, building and trade permits and housing code violations.
Hartford Mayor Pedro Segarra is praising the new site for both its accessibility to the public, and as a more clear and concise way for government departments to access their own data.
