Young Man Sexually Assaults Minor At Family Gathering: Police

A Lebanon man was arrested in New London today and is accused of sexually assaulting a child.

David Prentice, 22, was charged with sexual assault in the first degree, sexual assault in the third degree, risk of injury to a minor and unlawful restraint in the first degree.

New London Police received information that Prentice had assaulted a minor at a family gathering in the city.

The victim told officers and members of the Department of Children and Families that Prentice restrained her using force and sexually assaulted her.

Prentice confirmed the victim’s story when interviewed by detectives.
